It's 10 p.m., your New Orleans ghost tour just ended and you are starving. Where are you going to get a bite to eat? A recent thread in the New Orleans Service & Hospitality Industry Facebook group asked that question, and local service industry workers had some answers.

You know the recommendations are good when they come from the NOLA locals who work in the restaurant and bar industry. Here are the top spots they recommended.

Other Notable Mentions

I myself am a tour guide who works in the French Quarter at night on a regular basis. I personally can attest to Turtle Bay being a great spot for late night bar food (and their steaks hit the spot on a budget). Verti Marte is a classic location too, catty corner from the LaLaurie Mansion, but it’s strictly to go orders there.

And one last pick: Service industry folks usually don’t recommend it, but Oceana Grill, at 739 Conti, is usually open until 1 a.m. They serve many of the Cajun and Creole staples that visitors are looking to try. Okay okay, so they were on Kitchen Nightmares one time… They’ve cleaned up their act since (we think…we hope). Here’s what I can say: Gators and Ghosts had Oceana cater our Christmas Party a couple years back and the food was hit. So I dunno; your mileage may vary but I like it.
