“My second tour was a city tour, and I loved it. I saw a few areas of the city that I haven't seen before; even though I've been to the city dozens of times. The guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out several things that were quite meaningful to me.”
About This Tour
Most visitors to New Orleans never leave the French Quarter. This comprehensive city tour changes that. In about three hours, you'll explore the neighborhoods that give New Orleans its soul - from the oak-lined streets of the Garden District to the resilient communities of the 9th Ward that rebuilt after Katrina.
Board a climate-controlled tour bus for a journey through the city's most storied neighborhoods. You'll step off to walk through St. Louis Cemetery #3, one of the city's historic above-ground burial grounds. Then enjoy a stop at the original Cafe Du Monde in City Park for fresh beignets and cafe au lait. Along the way, your guide shares stories of the mansions of the Garden District, the history of the Marigny and Frenchmen Street, and why Lake Pontchartrain means so much to the people who live here.
Perfect for visitors who want to see beyond Bourbon Street, or anyone ready to discover the neighborhoods that make New Orleans truly unique. Hotel pickup in the French Quarter and Central Business District is included.

Is this a walking tour or a bus tour?+
This is primarily a bus tour, but you'll step off the bus twice during the tour. First, for a 15-minute guided walk through St. Louis Cemetery #3, and second, for a beignet break at Cafe Du Monde in City Park. The rest of the time you'll be enjoying the sights from your comfortable seat on the climate-controlled bus.
Is this tour good for kids?+
Yes, this is a family-friendly tour. Children often enjoy the bus ride, the cemetery visit, and especially the beignet stop at Cafe Du Monde. The tour provides a great introduction to New Orleans beyond the French Quarter.
Is the bus air-conditioned?+
Yes, the bus is fully climate-controlled. New Orleans weather can be warm and humid, so you'll stay comfortable throughout the tour. We recommend bringing a light jacket as the AC can feel cool.
How much walking is involved?+
This is mostly a seated bus tour. You'll exit the bus twice: once for a 15-minute walk through St. Louis Cemetery #3, and once for a beignet break at Cafe Du Monde. Total walking is about 20-30 minutes on flat ground.
Should we tip our tour guides?+
Absolutely! Tipping 15-20% of your tour cost is standard and greatly appreciated — similar to what you'd tip at a restaurant. Our guides are passionate locals who rely on tips as a significant part of their income. A great guide can make your experience unforgettable. If they do, let them know!
What happens if it rains?+
Tours run rain or shine. If you show up in the rain, your guide will be there. We only cancel if conditions become dangerous, and in that case you'll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
What is your cancellation policy?+
Tours are non-refundable unless cancelled by the company or tour operators (typically due to dangerous weather like lightning or hurricanes). If you need to reschedule, contact us and we'll work with you to apply your payment to a different date or tour, subject to availability. We understand plans change — just give us as much notice as possible.
