Refund Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
At Gators & Ghosts we want you to have an amazing New Orleans experience. Please read this policy before you book — by completing a booking, you agree to the terms below.
Cancellations & Changes
All bookings are final at the time of purchase. We do not offer refunds for guest cancellations, missed departures, late arrivals, no-shows, or members of your party who do not attend.
If your plans change, contact us as early as possible. With at least 24 hours' notice, we may be able to help you reschedule, depending on availability and the rules of the operator running your tour. Rescheduling is never guaranteed, and a change request does not make a booking refundable.
Requests made less than 24 hours before departure are much harder to accommodate. At that point we may not be able to move your booking at all, and the booking remains non-refundable.
Moving a booking also changes what happens if the weather turns. Please read the section below titled If You Move Your Tour before you ask us to reschedule.
No-Shows & Late Arrivals
No-shows and late arrivals are not eligible for a refund, credit, or reschedule. Tours depart on schedule and operators cannot hold a departure for a late party. Please arrive at your meeting point at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
If We Cancel
Tours run in most weather. Light rain does not cancel a tour, and swamp tours and other outdoor activities operate in a wide range of conditions. We recommend dressing for the forecast.
If Gators & Ghosts or the tour operator cancels your originally scheduled departure, you may choose either:
- A full refund to your original payment method
- A free reschedule to another available date or time
This covers any cancellation on our side: weather or unsafe conditions, a mechanical or vessel problem, a guide or crew emergency, or anything else that stops the tour from running. This is the only situation in which we refund a booking.
If the tour is operating and you choose not to attend — because of the forecast or for any other reason — the booking is treated as a guest cancellation and is not refundable.
If You Move Your Tour
Rescheduling is something we do when we can, not something we can promise. When we move a booking, we are releasing a seat we had already sold.
There is only one situation in which we refund a booking, and it is the one described in If We Cancel above: we or the tour operator call off your departure. That refund belongs to the specific departure you originally booked and paid for. It does not carry over to a different date or time that you asked us to move you to. Once we move you at your request, that booking is not refundable, even if we or the tour operator later cancel the new departure.
For example: you book a Saturday tour and ask us to move you to Sunday. Saturday's tour runs as scheduled. Sunday's tour is then cancelled by us for weather. That booking is not refundable. The tour you paid for operated, and the departure that was cancelled is the one you asked to move to. We will do our best to find you another time if anything is available, though the booking stays non-refundable.
This applies no matter how far in advance you requested the change. Moving your tour is a real trade-off, so it is worth thinking through before you ask.
We're a small, family-owned business and we read every message ourselves. If something has gone wrong, tell us early and we'll be straight with you about what we can do.
