A climate-controlled coach tour beyond the French Quarter. Visit haunted cemeteries, historic neighborhoods, and locations that walking tours can't reach — all from a comfortable seat.
“We had a great time on the after dark cemetery tour! Christian was very informative and entertaining. We learned a lot of history, maybe saw a ghost, and had fun and beignets too.”
“Lenny was very knowledgeable and helpful when booking the tour! Would definitely book again.”
“The tour started out on a small bus with a small crowd so that everyone could be involved. 'J' was our tour guide and did a great job of giving us information about the city. She made the tour funny, fun, insightful. She included people from the tour to interact with the areas we were seeing which added to the fun. It is fun for all ages and recommended for anyone looking for a tour of the city.”
Most ghost tours stick to the French Quarter. This one leaves it behind. The Eerie Nights shuttle tour takes you to the historic cemeteries at the edge of the city, the ones tourists rarely see and locals whisper about. You'll board a climate-controlled shuttle in the French Quarter and ride out to where the real hauntings are.
Once you arrive, you're on foot. Your guide leads you through two or three above-ground cemeteries, flashlight sweeping across weathered stone as they share the stories of who's buried there and why some of them haven't stayed buried. You'll learn why New Orleans buries its dead above ground and what happens when the tombs are opened. Midway through, you'll stop at a local beignet spot for a break (and a drink if you want one).
If you want to experience New Orleans beyond the tourist trail, this is your tour. The 7 PM tour is family-friendly. The 9:30 PM tour goes darker. Either way, you'll see a side of the city most visitors miss.

You'll visit two or three historic above-ground cemeteries located near the lakeside end of Canal Street. The specific cemeteries may vary by night, but all are historic New Orleans burial grounds with fascinating stories and atmospheric settings.

Our walking tours are about an hour and 45 minutes long. You generally cover about a mile of ground. It's an easy walk and you stop a lot to hear stories.
There are paid parking lots on Basin St. and on the corner of Conti and N. Rampart St. Prices vary depending on what's happening in the city that day. If you're staying at a French Quarter hotel, we recommend walking to the tour site.
We have a few different starting locations. After you've booked your tour, we send a confirmation email with all the details, including where your tour starts.
